The application of satellite imagery in urban planning and development had been widely applied in Vietnam. However, research orientation and development of RS applications for the smart city management approach also indicates many difficulties and challenges. This presentation aims to share information about Ho Chi Minh City and the experiences in using satellite imagery to monitor LULCC, the problems of environmental pollution at different levels and analyzing the trend of urbanization.
Expected Outcomes:
Understand the researching EO activities in Vietnam. As a developing country, Vietnam has used satellite data for the benefit of society and to achieve sustainable development.
