While the National Weather Service (NWS) Leadership Academy has provided mentoring training in live sessions for years, a gap remained in terms of an asynchronous training option for all employees. When access to AI tools was granted to NWS employees in July 2025, we saw an opportunity to test its capabilities to accelerate the curriculum development process.
This presentation will explore our approach to leveraging the power of two different AI tools for content development and avatar generation. We will discuss our methodology and lessons learned from incorporating these advanced AI capabilities into the curriculum development process, including initial reactions from reviewers.
