IMPORTANT NOTICE (COVID-19/SARS-2): We will assess the situation and decide on the form and shape of the course. If held in 2020 there will be no face-to-face interactions. We shall try and meet as many of the objectives as possible through an online event, so keep the time free!
The focus of this classroom course is on the methods and techniques used to extract information from environmental satellite data, with an emphasis on the latest measuring technologies. Additional focus will be on the upcoming MTG mission capabilities.
This courses addresses experienced professionals working with remote sensing data (forecasters, researchers, post-gradate students etc.) interested to update their knowledge and skills on the newest developments in remote sensing data. The applicants must have an academic degree either in Meteorology, Physics, Environmental Sciences or Environmental Engineering. Applicants should be proficients in the English language to attend the course.
The course is intended primarily for the European audience, with preference for the member states. Depending on availability, additional applicants might be accepted. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their proven experiences in environmental remote sensing.
