- In 2013 EUMeTrain first organized its first Marine training course, using synchronous activities and supported by a Moodle platform. In 2015, 2017 and 2019 other editions of this course followed. The 5th Marine Satellite EUMeTrain Course will be held in 2022 in cooperation with EUMETSAT and EUMETCAL and, similarly to previous courses, will follow the Marine Weather Forecasters (MWF) Competence Requirements set by WMO.
- Targeted Audience:
- The primary audience is the community of operational marine weather forecasters across Europe. Knowledge is assumed in: satellite image interpretation at the BIP-M level ocean and atmospheric models at the BIP-M level forecasting The number of participants is limited to 25.
