Description:
During the five-day long course, participating university students will become acquainted with the basics of Remote Sensing (RS), along with an overview of ESA’s EO satellite missions through practical exercises. Students will also learn about the science of radar and optical remote sensing, as well as data fusion.
The event is in person, and accommodation, travel, and meals for the event will be sponsored by ESA.
Targeted Audience:
The workshop is aimed at MSc and PhD students in an engineering or science subject, who should be at least 18 years old, have limited professional experience in remote sensing, engineering, or space-related work, and be a citizen of an ESA member state, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, or Slovenia.
Expected Outcomes:
An understanding of how remote sensing works, what Earth Observation is, and how it can be used to support and improve our understanding of the world around us.
