Various Earth Observation applications will be introduced to the assembled audience, including Health, Heat, Agriculture, water scarcity, etc. If you are a scientist, decision-maker or policy-maker based in North, Central, or Latin America and in need of Earth Observation information to make decisions – this meeting will be useful to attend. Presentations will be made in Spanish with English translation services in real time for most online activities.

AmeriGEO Week is an inclusive event that brings together diverse communities and establishes connections, fostering collaboration among national, regional, and international efforts in integrated Earth research and social sciences. These collaborations aim to combine Earth observation data, socioeconomic data, research and science, citizen observations, ancestral knowledge, and other information sources with modeling, prediction, and scenario analysis to guide decision-making. Through these collaborations, AmeriGEO seeks to promote information exchange at all levels and sectors, enhancing capabilities and empowering society to face environmental, social, and economic challenges.
Expected Outcomes:
AmeriGEO week is regional gathering with the purpose to promote collaboration and coordination among the Group on Earth Observations members in the American continent, “to realize a future wherein decisions and actions, for the benefit of the region, are informed by coordinated, comprehensive and sustained Earth observations and information”.
