The 2024 'ESA Training on EO for Forestry' course will cover various topics including forest mapping, deforestation monitoring, and biomass estimation using EO technologies such as Optical or SAR remote sensing.
Targeted Audience:
The course is limited to a maximum of 30 participants. Preference will be given to early-career professionals, master and PhD students, and individuals working in the field of forestry with an interest in using EO data. Special consideration will be given to applicants with a focus on tropical forest monitoring and management.
Expected Outcomes:
The main purpose is to present and to teach how to handle various tools to process Earth Observation (EO) data relevant for forestry applications.
