The Joint CONECT 3 - CALMet XVI Conference will bring together educators, trainers, and managers from universities, research institutions, and National Meteorological and Hydrological Services.
During the first three days, CALMet XVI will provide an environment for participants to share experiences, expectations and innovative ideas for the application of new technologies and strategies in meteorology and hydrology education and training. In addition, we will explore regional training needs, identify current activities within our community, and see where support from the wider WMO Global Campus community is needed.
Subsequently, CONECT 3 will serve as a collaborative platform to discuss all ideas aimed at improving capacity development. The aim is to improve coordination and ensure sustainability of education and training efforts related to Earth systems, including weather, climate, water and related environmental fields.
There is a strong desire to organise this joint CONECT 3 - CALMet XVI event in a hybrid format, but at the moment it is still uncertain whether this is financially feasible. If it turns out that a hybrid format is not possible, then we will organise the whole event in an online mode.
