This series of sessions aims at improve user's understanding of the EUMETSAT processes to download and customize MTG data.
As with every Data Access course, we will focus on the main Data Access Services such as Data Store and its main customisation tool, Data Tailor. We will teach how to access and interpret essential information about the data from the Flexible Combined Imager (FCI) and the Lightning Imager (LI) sensors on the Meteosat Third Generation (MTG) satellite.
The course is organised into three sessions, each featuring presentations and demonstrations. Each session will include a dedicated Q&A segment, providing participants the opportunity to ask for any type of support related to Data Access Services.
The sessions will be based on User's skills and preferred methodologies to use our services:
Session 1 will be based on using Data Store and Data Tailor Graphical User Interface to download smaller amounts of products and perform basic customisations. This session is designed for users who need to quickly access and tailor smaller datasets to their specific needs.
Session 2 will involve the use of the EUMETSAT Python Library through the use of Command Line Interface (CLI). This session is tailored for users requiring access to larger datasets, providing a comprehensive guide to managing and downloading significant volumes of data.
Session 3 will involve the use of the Data Access Jupyter Notebooks. The session will help users to use pre-built Notebooks for various tasks and supporting them in finding their own solutions by modifying the notebooks.
