- The Consortium of WMO Education and Training Collaborating Partners (CONECT) is offering a series of webinars about the revised Basic Instruction Packages for Meteorologists (BIP-M) and Meteorological Technicians (BIP-MT). This second session of the 2025 CONECT Webinar Series will take place 20 August at 12:00 UTC. The session will explore how two WMO Members are implementing the revised BIP-MT. Ms. Colleen N. Rae will share the approach taken by the Lesotho Meteorological Service, while Dr. Romina Mezher will discuss the longstanding meteorological observer course for Spanish-speaking countries in WMO Regional Associations III and IV, and how it has been adapted to align with the new BIP-MT standards. Presenters will highlight key successes, challenges encountered, and practical strategies for integrating the updated standards into national training programs.
