- The Consortium of WMO Education and Training Collaborating Partners (CONECT) is offering a series of webinars about the revised Basic Instruction Packages for Meteorologists (BIP-M) and Meteorological Technicians (BIP-MT). This third session of the CONECT Webinar Series will take place 27 August at 12:00 UTC. The session will highlight how two education and training institutions are putting the revised Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists (BIP-M) into action. Dr Mick Pope will present the approach taken by the Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre in Australia, while Dr Peter Inness and Prof Chris Holloway from the University of Reading (UK) will describe how they aligned their redesigned undergraduate and post-graduate programmes with BIP-M requirements in the context of the RMet accreditation. Presenters will share practical insights, institutional challenges, and lessons learned in aligning national qualifications with the revised BIP-M.
