AmeriGEO Week is an inclusive event that brings together diverse communities and fosters connections, encouraging collaboration among national, regional, and international efforts in integrated Earth and social science research. These collaborations aim to combine Earth observation data, socioeconomic data, research and science, citizen observations, ancestral knowledge, and other sources of information with modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis to inform decision-making.
Targeted Audience:
Professionals, academia, government entities, the productive sector, national and international organizations, and the general public interested in innovation and collaboration involving Earth observation data.
Expected Outcomes:
During the event, we will collaboratively assess the progress and effectiveness of GEO activities in support of this goal, with a special emphasis on user engagement and transdisciplinary approaches.
The discussions will also be aligned with the new GEO Strategic Plan for 2025–2035, which emphasizes making Earth Intelligence a core pillar of knowledge-based decision-making, promoting global equity, and co-producing transformative, user-driven solutions that integrate diverse data sources and knowledge systems.
Additionally, training opportunities will be offered to build technical capacities and skills aimed at interpreting and applying Earth Intelligence in decision-making, integrating observational data, predictive models, and diverse knowledge to address global challenges.
