The Short Course on EUMETSAT Active Fire Products will take place on Thursday, 18 September 2025, from 12:00 to 14:30 CEST, during the EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference 2025 in Lyon, France.
This hands-on session will introduce participants to active fire monitoring using Jupyter notebooks to analyse Sentinel-3 NRT FRP as well as MTG FCI FRP and MTG FCI FIR products. Attendees will learn how to access, process, and visualise these datasets in order to reproduce the workflow independently after the training session.
Participants must bring their own laptops, and a basic understanding of Python is required. Lunch boxes will be available for a small fee during the session. Please note that the maximum number of participants has already been reached; however, you are welcome to register and your name will be placed on a waiting list. Attendance is limited to 40 participants.
