The event will explore how Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) can be integrated into drought management and it will bring together experts, practitioners, and researchers to share knowledge, experiences, and practical solutions on the topic.
Targeted Audience:
National and local authorities in drought and water management, Policy makers and government representatives, Researchers and academics in climate, water, and social inclusion, International organizations, NGOs and civil society organizations working with drought-affected communities, Students and early-career professionals interested in GESI and drought planning.
Expected Outcomes:
The session is designed to provide actionable insights on making drought planning more inclusive, gender-responsive, and socially equitable, ultimately fostering resilience in communities most affected by drought.
