This webinar series is designed to familiarise participants with EUMETSAT’s data access services, with a focus on interacting with the Data Store and Data Tailor through the Python library EUMDAC (EUMETSAT Data Access Client). The series relies on presentations and demonstrations, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A discussions.
In Session 1 you will learn how to transition from accessing EUMETSAT’s Data Store and Data Tailor via the web interface to using the Command Line Interface. This session will provide practical guidance on accessing and customising satellite data with EUMDAC, demonstrating how command-line access supports systematic downloading, efficient tailoring of large data volumes, and seamless integration into complex workflows. Key concepts and terminologies such as GUI (Graphical User Interface), API (Application Programming Interface), and CLI (Command Line Interface) will be explained to equip participants with the essential knowledge for a full understanding of the course topics.
