This webinar will focus on the ESA CCI Permafrost project providing an overview on the type and magnitude of changes related to permafrost thaw and how these are quantified.

The webinar will: Explain how permafrost thaw can be identified from space Discuss the differences between Arctic lowlands and mountain areas Highlight where the hotspots of permafrost thaw are located Explore the different Earth observation approaches that are needed to capture changes in lowland and mountain areas.
