Monitoring Climate Change from Space: Satellite Retrievals of Vegetation Parameters
Start Date:
May 20, 2026
End Date:
May 20, 2026
Description:
Each data point in ESA's Vegetation CCI+ dataset is derived from up to 222 satellite observations. Over 21 years, this level of detail builds up to provide a comprehensive record of the planet's plant cover.
In this webinar, Christiaan van der Tol will demonstrate how this dataset can be used to track everything from forest fire recovery to seasonal changes in photosynthesis, and how it can be applied in your own research.
Targeted Audience:
Scientists, researchers, students, policy makers, engaged members of the public
Expected Outcomes:
This webinar will focus on the ESA Vegetation Parameters CCI+ project, explaining how the CCI+ vegetation dataset was built, what makes it unique and how it can be used in research.
