Description:
The 5th Weather-AI Bootcamp aims to strengthen participants' practical understanding of how AI can support operational meteorology, with a particular focus on AI-based nowcasting. Drawing on the National Institute of Meteorological Sciences' (NIMS) experience in developing and operationalizing AI forecasting systems, the training will cover the full workflow from data preparation to model operation and visualization. The course is designed to support capacity development and encourage the exploratory application of AI technologies and will be held from 3 to 14 August 2026 at the AI Training Facility in Jincheon, RTC Seoul, Republic of Korea. The programme will be delivered in two phases: a hybrid Fundamentals module from 3 to 8 August 2026, followed by an in-person Advanced Applications module from 10 to 14 August 2026.
