The Short Course on EUMETSAT Active Fire products will take place on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, from 12:30 to 14:00 CEST, during the EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference 2026 in Darmstadt, Germany.
This hands-on session will introduce participants to active fire monitoring, using Jupyter notebooks to analyse Sentinel-3 NRT FRP, as well as MTG FCI FRP and MTG FCI Fire Temperature products. Attendees will learn how to access, process, and visualise these datasets in order to reproduce the workflow independently after the training session.
Participants must bring their own laptops, and a basic understanding of Python is required.
