- The Regional Focus Group Meeting of the Indonesia VLab Center of Excellence will be held on 28 October 2026, from 02:00–04:00 UTC, with a dedicated session on “Satellite Analysis for Volcanic Ash Dispersion and Distribution.” This session will bring together participants to explore the role of satellite observations in detecting and monitoring volcanic ash, as well as understanding its dispersion patterns and distribution. Through the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and analysis techniques, the session aims to strengthen the use of satellite data for volcanic ash monitoring and support more effective hazard assessment, early warning, and mitigation efforts.
