This classroom course is the second phase of a training programme structured in two stages: a three-week online component followed by a one-week face-to-face session.
The course provides participants with an applied introduction to the use of meteorological satellite data and products for environmental monitoring and early warning activities. Through a combination of trainer-led demonstrations, practical exercises, and collaborative activities, participants will strengthen their ability to access and interpret satellite-derived information for a range of environmental applications.
Throughout the week, participants will apply the knowledge and methods introduced during the thematic sessions to a collaborative group project. On the final day, each group will present its results, discuss the applied methodology, and exchange feedback with trainers and fellow participants.
The classroom format encourages active participation, interaction with trainers, peer learning, and the exchange of operational experiences among participants.
The course follows a participant-centred and application-oriented methodology that includes:
* Trainer-led demonstrations
* Practical data-access and visualisation activities
* Thematic exercises
* Daily briefings and discussions
* Collaborative group project work
* Student project presentations and feedback
