COVID-19/SARS-2: This face-to-face event is confirmed. We will re-assess the situation 2 months before the course based on the COVID situation. If the face-to-face event does not go ahead, we shall try and meet as many of the objectives as possible through an online event, so keep the time free! The Baltic+ course is a joint initiative of the National Meteorological Services of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland, who join the forces in order to increase the knowledge in skills in the use of satellite observation data and to create a platform for exchanging ideas, applications and knowledge. This is a blended course, composed of a 3 weeks online phase and a 3 days face-to-face phase. The classroom phase will occur from 18-20 May 2021 and it will address in more depth the topics discussed during the online phase. It will consist of exercises, presentations, group work and finalisation of case studies started during the online phase.
Targeted Audience:
The course is primarily aimed at weather forecasters working in shifts with at least six months professional experience.
